Baby Giraffe

We met some friends from our BYU ward at the zoo on Saturday. They live in Valencia, so it was a nice middle point. They have a daughter that is 2 months older than Mia, so it was fun for the girls and nice for Ryan & I to catch up. The zoo is fun, but a little confusing and a lot is under-construction. We have a pass so we didn't mind being there for a couple hours and bailing. This picture of the 4-week old baby Giraffe. It is 6 feet tall and so cute.

After the zoo, we looked at a car for Ryan. I hate cars! It is so hard to know if it is crap or not. He wants a used Accord, which I think is good, but he was it cheaper and I say we spend a little more and get a little more. Who knows where that will go.

We then went to Costco and we got major prime-time parks! That is a true miracle because the parking lot is always a nightmare. It was really busy, but not at all bad compared to the one in SF that always had 7 people in one line. We headed home for the Lakers game.

We attended 75% of church before sicky Mia had a complete meltdown. She was hysterical starting at church until 15 minutes after we got her home. She has a yucky cold and won't really eat. It is no fun to see her so sad. She is still pretty silly, most of the time. We also went on the Open House tour. We actually saw one house for under $1 million, but it was a DUMP. Bright yellow and orange carpet and just dirty and old. Also right on the railroad tracks that they don't use now, but they might in the future. No thanks $989000. Then we saw another one just under $1mil that was a bit better, cleaner, etc, but it was RIGHT in the flight pattern. Like right there...I looked up and saw the belly of the plane. Yikes.

And today was mellow to try and get Mia better. She is now standing on top of a little table-toy thing and yelling at me to help her done...must go!

We aren't really looking, just "window shopping." We look near our house in West LA, Rancho Park, Cheviot Hills, etc. Crazy eh?

Such a cute picture of the little giraffe! Glad that you guys had fun there.

Sorry that Mia isn't feeling well.. no fun at all! Hope she is doing better.

I can't believe how much housing is there.. how does anyone afford it? That is insane.

Have a good one!
